For Vemma Founder and CEO BK Boreyko and his sisters, Karen and Lauren, the mission to make a positive difference in the lives of others is both a tribute and legacy left by their parents, Ben and Dottie Boreyko.
In support of this fundamental value, Vemma helps to improve the lives of children around the world through philanthropic projects that have a direct and significant impact on the health and wellness of the children they serve. Vemma works with deserving nonprofit organizations to help the world's children live healthier lives, one child at a time.
Dottie Boreyko was born in a small farmhouse in Kakabeka Falls, Canada, a remote rural community with a population of just 200. But growing up in this tiny town did not hamper Dottie's ability to dream. She shared her "big plans" with anyone who would listen.
Ben Boreyko, another dreamer, had left his small farmhouse and taken a job with the railroad in order to get on with his big plans. Ben’s railroad job brought him to Kakabeka Falls, where he met Dottie and fell in love. Over the next 35 years, they and their four children built a multimillion-dollar networking business with thousands of team members spanning several countries.
This success allowed Ben and Dottie to share their gifts with thousands, supporting countless charitable organizations and reaching out a helping hand whenever they encountered someone in need.
As a mother, Dottie taught each of her children that the only thing you actually keep is that which you give away, and true success can be measured by the difference one makes in the lives of others.
With an eternally positive outlook and a passion for bringing joy into the lives of everyone she knew, Dottie Boreyko became a legendary woman, mother and friend. Her familiar words, "Dream big dreams. Small dreams have no magic," have inspired countless people to follow their dreams and make the world a better place.
Ben and Dottie’s legacy of reaching out to help others lives on through the Ben and Dottie Boreyko Foundation.
